PASPAS ang pagsaka sa ihap sa Persons Deprived of Liberty kon PDL’s sa Misamis Oriental Provincial Jail kon MOPJ!
Gikan sa 88 anaa na kini karon sa kapi’g 400 as of July 31, 2026.
Matud ni MOPJ OIC Jail Warden Retired Major Rogelio Labor Jr. nga ilang gilauman nga moabot sa 600 ang PDLs pag-abot sa Desyembre.
“..Since the assumption of Honorable Governor Juliette T. Uy, we have 88 PDLs, but today, as of July 31, we have 459 PDLs. So there is a rapid increase of our population in the jail. Our prediction by December, we will be expecting that our PDL will be 600 by December 2026.
Profile and demographics, 75% of the population of our jail is mostly violation of RA-9165 or Dangerous Drugs Act. So out of 459, 345 are violators of RA-9165. Then other crimes, 8% belongs to murder, homicide and attempted murder, 4.4 other crimes.
Out of 456, 416 are adult males, 42 adult females and 1 male CICL, Child in Conflict with the Law. PDL movements, we received 275 new PDLs from various agencies from January to July, from the PNP, BGMP, BDI and NBI..”
