NAGPADAYON ang pagdungog sa Senate Blue Ribbon Committee karong adlawa!
Kalabot sa flood control scandal.
Ubos sa pagpangulo ni Senator Pia Cayetano.
Mitambong sa pagdungog silang Senators Alan Peter Cayetano, , Imee Marcos, Rodante Marcoleta, Loren Legarda, ug Robin Padilla.
Anaa usab ang 18 ex-Marines ug ilang legal counsel isip resource persons sa Senate plenary hall.
Sa opening statement ni Pia, gibutyag niini nga invalid ang nahitabong session kagahapong adlawa.

“..Before I begin, I’d like to address a very important thing. Yesterday, a session was purportedly held by 12 senators, 12 po, in which committee assignments were declared vacant and chairmanship of this very committee, this committee on the blue ribbon, was allegedly replaced. I stand before you today to state clearly and unequivocally that session was invalid.
Wala po silang 13, kahit grade 1, marunong magbilang, kailangan ng 13. So hindi, wala po silang authority gawin yung mga ginawa nila. The 1987 Philippine Constitution states, article 6, section 2, the Senate shall be composed of 24 senators.
May narinig ko kayong 22? Wala, 24. Article 6, section 16, 2, a majority of each house shall constitute a quorum to do business. Rule 2, section 2 of the Senate rule states, the officers of the Senate shall be elected by the majority vote of all its members.
Majority vote is 13. When 12 senators convene and purportedly held session, how can that be valid?..”

Gisegundahan ni Senator Legarda ang nahimong pamahayag ni Pia nga kinahanglan ang 13 ka boto aron makatudlo og bag-ong Senate President ug mabakante ang chairmanships sa mga komitiba.
Matud ni Legarda nga dili kini artificial intelligence ug buhi nga buhi pa hinungdan nga dili kini mahimong hulipan.
Gitawag niini nga “bayani” ang mga present sa pagdungog.

“..May I just make a comment on the earlier statement of Senator Pia Cayetano, if I may? Mr. Chair, yes, you recognize me, right? I am not AI. I’m alive. And I’m present.
Yes, I acknowledge that you are not AI. You are pretending, that’s why I know you. I am here as a temporary Senate President and a member of the 24 men and women of the Senate.
And according to what Senator Pia Cayetano said, we are here in our hearing one is asking where we are. So I’m not AI. I’m alive.
With God’s mercy. And I’m not resigning. And it’s simple.
If there are 13 votes that I can give and the other votes are different, I would be more than willing to yield my position. Been there, done that. Just like 2022, Senate President Migz Zubiri was pro tempore and we were ousted by Senate President Chiz Escudero and Senate Pro Tempore Jinggoy Estrada.
I more than willingly gave my seat. So just to make it clear. Never, never po tayo.
Nakakapit po sa anumang posisyon. Pero hindi po ko para ipakita na nandito po tayo at hindi pa po tayo nagreresign sa ating posisyon. At yan naman ay ayon sa Rule 2, Section 2 ng Senado.

Gibutyag ni Senator Alan Peter Cayetano nga usa ka criminal offense ang pagpugong sa ilang pagdungog.

“..Pagka ininterrupt niyo or dinisturbed or pipigilan niyo ang ating hearing, yan po ay criminal offense at ang hindi pagpapasok sa aming resource person, ay kasama po yan sa paparusahan..”

Matud usab ni Senator Imee Marcos nga daghan ang nagtext nga gisubaybayan ang hearing ug gireklamo ang dili pag-gawas sa Senate website tungod giingong gidid-an.

“..Mr. chair may isusumbong lang po may nagtetext na sinusubaybayan ang ating hearing ngayon at ang nirereklamo ay hindi lumalabas sa senate website, pinagbawalan daw at yung iba naman sa ibang plataporma ng media, pinapatay yung coverage, putol2x at chopi, kung pwede lang po eh hayaan natin na marinig ng sambayanan ang testimonya ng ating mga marines..”

Una nang gipamugos ni Acting Senate President Win Gatchalian nga walay pagdungog karong adlawa human gisibog ni New Senate Blue Ribbon Committee Chairman Senator Erwin Tulfo sa Hunyo 8.

“..Ang blue ribbon committee ay nag re schedule ang bagong chairman natin si senator Erwin tulfo, ang kanyang declaration at announcement ay na-i move niya yung blue ribbon hearing to June 8, until Monday, wala tayong headring today..”
