A day after a special report was presented in the 23rd regular session of the 21st City Council, the CHO CDO team composing of sanitary inspectors and epidemiology and surveillance unit conducted an initial investigation at the alleged public market. The findings were as follows. Only one alleged mortality was allegedly linked to leptospirosis. And our preliminary and confirmed reports show that the alleged cause of death is not leptospirosis. So since all reports we take it as a serious case as CHO, the following were made. The City Health Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit has initiated data gathering and epidemiological investigation in all CDO hospitals to check of any recent leptospirosis mortality and morbidity..”
