GISUGDAN na ang pagsubasta sa luxury vehicles sa magti-ayong Curlee ug Sarah Discaya!
Gipahigayon ang inspection sa pito ka sakyanan sa Manila South Harbour.
Ubos sa pagpangulo ni Bureau of Customs kon BOC Commissioner Ariel Nepomuceno.
Matud ni Nepomuceno nga himuon ang auction dili lamang aron makakuha og kapi’g 100 million pesos minimum nga posibleng proceeds gikan sa luxury vehicles.
Mas importante sa salapi o pondo nga makuha ang simbolo nga ugaling makabuhat og dili maayo, manubag ang usa ka indibidwal ug ang salapi sa nasud mapahimuslan sa katawhan.

ay ang simbolismo o ang pagpapahalaga natin na pag ikaw ay gagawa ng mali, ikaw ay mananagot at ang pera ng bansa dapat may pakinabang pakinabangan ng ating mga kababayan kasi alam ko naman pag tiningnan natin ang kabuo-an na maaring makuha natin sa pag auction natin 110 million, pag binuo pa natin yung 13 sasakyan, pag nabuo yun, 220 million plus..”

Samtang, gibutyag ni ICI Chairman Andres Reyes Jr., nga ang asset recovery mahinungdanong parte sa anti-corruption work sa gobyerno aron mabakwi ang salapi ug benepisyo alang sa publiko.

Asset recovery is a component of anti-corruption work because without it, the financial damage caused by these people cannot be repaired. Today’s public auction through the Bureau of Customs reflect the government’s commitment to accountability and restitution. These seven luxury vehicles were purchased with flood control money. By bringing them to auction, the BOC is recovering the duties and taxes that should have gone to public coffers and to the Filipino people. This is justice in practice ..”
