Decision sa Senate Impeachment Court sa voting threshold alang sa impeachment trial ni VP Sara, gikondena ni former Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Salvador Panelo!
GIKONDENA ni former Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Salvador Panelo ang desisyon sa Senate Impeachment Court nga bag-ohon ang pamaagi sa pag-ihap sa two-thirds voting threshold alang sa impeachment trial!
Gitawag ni Panelo nga usa ka dakong kalapasan sa Batakang Balaod ang pag-amendar sa mga lagda sa Korte.
Matud ni Panelo nga kinahanglang magpasakop gihapon ang Senate Impeachment Court sa provision sa constitution ug wala kini katungod nga mag-usab sa orihinal nga threshold.
“..It is a sad day for this country and sad day in our Constitution because they voted in violation of an expressed language of the Constitution. Ang ginawa nila ay talagang nakalulungkot. Isang trahedya na nilabag nila ang Saligang Batas nang lantaran. Sapagkat hindi talaga sila maaaring bumoto sa isang isyu na ang utos ng Saligang Batas. Hindi na dapat pakialaman. There are only 3 ways by which they can amend the Constitution and they’re doing it in violation… blatantly. Ang problema nila ngayon, ang hindi nila. Pag sila’y bomoto under a no threshold which is violating the prosecution, they open themselves to Article 2 of the revised code under that provision. If you knowingly render an unjust judgment, you are criminally liable because nilabag nila ang Saligang Batas ng pagbabago ng isang lengguwahe ng konstitusyon ng pagbaba ng threshold at siyempre boboto sila ngayon under the no threshold which is different from what the constitutional commands. Pag ginawa po nila iyon ibig sabihin na malicious sila, alam na nilang mali tinutuloy pa nila. Kaya pag hinatulan nila si Bise Presidente Inday Sara, sa ilalim ng ilegal na provision na binago nila sa pamamagitan ng kanilang mga boto ay sila po pwedeng i -demanda ng knowingly rendering an unjust judgment at mapaparusahan sila ng reclusion temporal, 12 taon hanggang taas at may accessory penalty na they can no longer hold office and they will be perpetually disbarred from holding any appointed or elective official..”

Samtang sarcastic ang tubag nila ni Prosecution Team Atty Lorna Kapunan ug Atty. Amando Ligutan sa pangutana kalabot sa posibleng atubangon nga criminal offense sa mihimo sa pag amenda sa voting treshold.
