Gobyerno walay kapasidad nga motake-over sa oil companies!

WALAY kapasidad ang gobyerno nga mo-take over sa oil companies sa nasud!
Kini ang gibutyag ni Energy Secretary Sharon Garin human gi-deklarar ni President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., ang state of national energy emergency.
Matud ni Garin nga magpagawas og dugang direktiba ang DOE sa oil companies apan dili “good idea” sa karon ang pag take over.

“..Wala po tayong capacity to take over a-the whole operation of the oil companies. Kung DOE lang po yung paguusapan mga isang libo lang po yung tao ng DOE eh. So we are not in the business of oil noh. We can regulate, i think the most we can–dahil nga meron nga namang emergency powers but its more on monitoring and controlling any abuses there. So mag roroll out pa kami ng mga directives po namin sa mga oil companies. Pero taking over thats not a good idea right now because isa po Government does not have that capacity. Kasi 14,000 po ang mga oil gas stations natin and several oil companies at ang negosyo na ito binitawan na ito ng gobyerno mula nong nag oil deregulation tayo..”
