Samtang, gi-emphasized ni Philippine Ambassador to the US Jose Manuel Romualdez ang importansiya nga makuha sa Pilipinas og non-permanent seat sa UN Security Council taliwala sa hagit sa West Philippine Sea.
Kaatbang sa Pilipinas ang Kyrgyzstan alang sa Asia-Pacific regional spot sa council.
Gikinahanglan ang two-thirds vote gikan sa General Assembly aron makuha ang seat.
Gitakda ang election sa non-permanent members Hunyo 3, 2026.
Alang sa term 2027-2028.
