Postponement sa Barangay ug Sk elections, pirma na lamang sa Presidente ang kulang!

PIRMA na lamang ni President Marcos Jr. ang kulang alang sa sugyot nga postponement sa Barangay ug SK elections!
Human gi-aprobahan sa third ug final reading sa Senado kagahapon.
Sa 17 ka affirmative votes ug duha ka against, gipalabang sa mga Senador ang Senate Bill 1306.
Amended niini ang RA 9340, RA 10632, RA 10656, RA 10923, RA 10952 ug RA 11462.
Gilangkuban sa minority members ang mi-opposed sa postponement.

“Villanueva: ..Mr. President this juncture is move to consider the reading senate bill 1306 copy of the bureau of electronically distributed to the member on the September 21, 2022 in compliance of 3 day rule under the constitutions
Zubiri:...there will be no objection no motion approve may I ask the Secretary to ratified of the measure proceed for a roll call
Villanueva: ..an act was polling from December 2022 Barangay Sanguniang Kabataan Elections amending for the purpose RA9164 as amended by RA9340, RA 10632, RA 10656, RA 10923, RA 10952 ug RA 11462 and for other purposes
Zubiri:..with 70 affirmative votes, 2 negative votes, 0 abstentions Senate Bill 1306 is approve on 3rd reading..”

Gipasabot usab ni Senate Minority Leader Koko Pimentel ang rason sa pagsupak sa postponement sa eleksyon.

“..I vote no to the postponement for the Barangay and SK elections to December 2023. Republic Act 11461 has schedule election on December 5, 2022 there is no compelling reason not implement the mandate of the law which we pass on the December 2019. If we proceed in the election the incumbent Barangay and SK officials will be able to serve a total of 4 and half years not bad considering under the existing policy the term of office of this officials is 3 years with the COVID pandemic deprive this officials with time to serve their constituents COVID did not deprive them with time in fact it gave them primetime as former President Duterte aid our barangay officials the first responders in extending the assistance to given at the population at large. This election would have been a very good opportunity to conduct a referendum of the performance of incumbent especially in relation on the handling on response..”
