Kini ang gibutyag sa National Economic and Development Authority kon NEDA.
Matud ni NEDA Secretary Arsenio Balisacan nga ang kasamtangang isyu sa politika sa Pilipinas dili maka-apekto sa ekonomiya.
Padayong tutukan sa administrasyong Marcos nga makab-ot ang targets nga nakatakda ubos sa Philippine Development Plan.
Una nang gibutyag ni Balisacan nga nagpabiling lig-on ang Pilipinas taliwala sa mga na-agi-an nga nagkalain-laing hagit sa politika sukad sa ulahing bahin sa 1990s.
“…business as usual for us, and I don’t think that these political noises would have any impact on the economy. What is important is that our economic policies, our economic policy directions are sound and sustained. And in fact that has been the case for the Philippines since the late 1990 that the economy continued to progress despite the political noises, simply because the economic policies and our directions have been broadly sustained. And for us in this administration, we are so focused on ensuring that the goals and targets and strategies that we have outlined in the Philippine development plan will be achieved, and that’s what is important for the broad public to signal that the economic momentum is sustained…”
