Aron ilunsad ang imbestigasyon batok sa mga magpakatag og fake news ug disinformation sa social media.
Pangulohan kini ni House Committee on Public Order and Safety Chairperson Santa Rosa Representative Dan Fernandez kauban ang House Committees sa Public Information and Communications Technology.
Mihimo na mi-aging semana og close door meeting ang tri-committee alang sa briefing sa mga social media platforms.
Sugdan sunod semana ang unang public hearing sa tri-com.
Matud ni Fernandez nga halapad ang imbestigasyon human 60 ka House bills ang giduso kaniya.

“..imbestigasyon na to eh kasi merong e finile sa akin na mga 60, mga ano to mga house bills and ah meron ding privilege speech si Congressman Ace Barbers at merong resolution na finile din. So kung titignan mo sama-sama siya hindi lang siya yung mga ah creation of ah content na ah talangang nagkakaroon ng false information nadi-disseminate nila but of course yung digital literacy as well…”

Alang kang 2nd District Surigao del Norte Representative Robert Ace Barbers nga tinguha nila nga makabaton og code of conduct ang mag mogamit sa social media platforms.

“..Gusto natin magkaroon ng Code of Conduct ang ating mga social media platform users. Second, magkaroon ng disiplina yung responsible use of this platform no. Just like the other tri-media yung ating traditional media eh kayo ay covered by rules and regulations of the KBP, so dapat magkaroon din tayo ng ganoon sa social media…”
