NAHIMONG sentro sa budget hearing sa Department of Foreign Affairs sa Senado ang isyu sa mga nahatagan og Philippine passport!
Matud ni Senator Loren Legarda nga adunay gapanguha og passport apan dili kahibalo mo-storya og Filipino.
Pagpasabot ni Department of Foreign Affairs, Office of the Consular Affairs Assistant Secretary Adelio Angelito Cruz nga adunay silay nadawat nga aplikasyon sa passport gikan sa mga kadudahan ang nasyonalidad.
Nakig-koordinar na sila sa kapolisan aron masikop ang mga aplikante nga nagpaka-aron-ingnon nga Pinoy.

“Legarda:…kasi nakarinig ako sa last year na budgeting ito na merong mga nag-apply na hindi marunong mag Filipino or English may translator. Obviously hindi yun Pilipino, pero nabibigyan ang passport.

Cruz:..since November last year, we were able to prevent the application of questionable nationalities applying for a Philippine passport. More than 171 attempts were prevented from the Office of the Consular Affairs. We are in a process of undertaking an MUO to the PNP so wherever they apply once we are sure it is a fraud application we can already seek the assistance of the nearest police precinct to apprehend these passport actors…”
